Can you tell us a little about your shop or service and what inspired you to start it? At The Source Bulk Foods, we sell unpackaged pantry items because we love to reduce the number of single-use plastics helping to keep our environment and oceans clean.

When I was a child, I always loved getting freshly ground nut butter and local honey from our health food store. Now all these years later, I have a whole store which offers all this in bulk and more!

What’s in season or really popular right now with shoppers? What is always popular with our customers is our dried Mango - fresh from sunny QLD - and our delicious walnuts from NSW which are so fresh and cut down on “food miles”. Over 70% of what we stock in store is sourced from Australia, so those products in particular are always in demand.

What’s your favourite thing in-store at the moment? My favourite things in store are often our newest! We are now stocking beautiful skin care products from Oasis Black.

There are four powder-to-liquid cleansers and three face and body oils, that are based on Black Seed Oil which is known to be the best way to feed your skin while taking care of it.

Choose four adjectives to describe yourself? One of our recent social media posts described me as “fierce, hardworking, kind, professional and passionate! (sorry, there's five!). For a wrap as good as that, I should pay my social media manager more 😉

How long have you been working here and what do you enjoy about this centre? In August this year, it will be our 5th birthday! What I love the most about Pacific Square in Maroubra is our customers. They are loyal, interesting, funny and overall bring a great energy to the store.

What are your interests, any hobbies or mad obsessions? I believe in the philosophy that Food is Medicine, so I love gardening and having a little veggie patch at home. I have chickens there too, and they love getting in and digging for worms whenever they can.

What products or services do you offer and what makes them unique? We are well-known for the quality of our customer service. I receive compliments about my team on a regular basis and am always happy to let them know when a customer has given good feedback.

What do you think makes Pacific Square a great community and place to shop? Pacific Square is a great shopping centre for foodies. Every boutique store is family owned with fresh produce and a great range to choose from. The centre is also not too big, so it doesn’t take too long to get in, get everything off your shopping list and get back home to unpack and enjoy!
